St. Andrews College outlasts Blyth Academy - Central, 5-3

The game between the St. Andrews College Saints and Blyth Academy - Central was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end St. Andrews College emerged with a 5-3 win.

The Saints gained the winning advantage on a goal by Lucas Thorne 15:28 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.

Morgan Barron was all over the ice for St. Andrews College, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Barron scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 14:30 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Andrews College. A tripping penalty on Jonathan Bartuccio-Pereira had put the Saints on the power play. Connor Ali assisted on the tally. Barron's next tally on the power play made the score 5-3 St. Andrews College with 14 seconds left in the third period. Luke Wyatt picked up the assist.

St. Andrews College excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Saints' offense rang up 38 shots on Blyth Academy - Central's net.

St. Andrews College additionally got points from Thorne, who also had one goal and one assist and Corey Andonovski, who also registered one goal and three assists. St. Andrews College also got a goal from William Sirman as well.

Blyth Academy - Central was led by Dylan Gervais, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Gervais scored the first of his two goals at 17:13 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Andrew Neeposh assisted on the tally. Gervais' next tally made the score 3-2 Blyth Academy - Central with 56 seconds left in the second period. Mykolai Chmilenko picked up the assist. Blyth Academy - Central also got points from Chmilenko, who also tallied one goal and one assist.

Cole Chapman rejected 22 shots on goal for St. Andrews College. The Saints totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play.
