Huge game by Loughran boosts Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 over St. Andrews College, 5-2

Griffin Loughran was all over the ice for Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18's 5-2 win over the St. Andrews College Saints.

Loughran's tallies came at 7:28 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 and 4:58 into the second to make the score 3-0 Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 did not rack up many penalties in the contest, tallying a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 also got points from Adam Tretowicz, who also racked up one goal and two assists and Matthew Novo, who also registered two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 were Matthew Stanek and Jeff Rymarczyk, who contributed one each.

St. Andrews College was held below its usual level of production. The Saints put an average of 5.3 pucks into the net per game.

St. Andrews College was led by Morgan Barron, who tallied one goal. Barron scored 6:40 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18. William Sirman picked up the assist. Corey Andonovski also scored for St. Andrews College. In addition, St. Andrews College received assists from Lucas Thorne and Reid Yochim, who each chipped in one.

Alex Camarre recorded 24 saves for Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18. Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Cole Chapman made 18 saves for the Saints on 23 shots. St. Andrews College totaled seven minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major and had no power play opportunities.
