Augustine's hat trick boosts M3-Hope College over LSSU Lakers, 13-0

Evan Augustine netted a hat trick to lead M3-Hope College over LSSU Lakers, 13-0.

Augustine notched his first tally 25 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 38 seconds into the second and at 5:08 into the second.

M3-Hope College avoided man-down situations, finishing with one major for 15 minutes in penalty time. The total was was till above M3-Hope College's average of 9.0 minutes in penalty time per game. M3-Hope College's offense was clicking better than usual and put 51 shots on goal during the game, better than the 11.5 shots per game it averages.

M3-Hope College also got points from Ryan Restum, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Rodney Leversee, who also had one goal and one assist, and Brandon Flood, who also racked up three goals and one assist. Garrett Gormley also scored for M3-Hope College. More assists for M3-Hope College came via Peter Stewart, who had four, Caleb Wortz, who had five, Cole Devos, Dennis Cain, Austen Peterson, Benjamin Hoard, and Jake Faustyn, who contributed one each, and Luke Lanham and Andrew Settecerri, who each chipped in two.

LSSU Lakers barely challenged the opposing netminder, firing only 14 shots on target to force 14 saves. However, LSSU Lakers got off more shots in the game than the 1.0 per game it averages.

Jacob Conroy made eight saves before being replaced by Ryan Baron, who took the win and made six saves. M3-Hope College registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. For M3-Hope College, Jakub Myska was ejected from the game. LSSU Lakers took out Andrew Stevens after he had made 20 saves and installed Harrison Zuchnik in goal, where he finished with 18 saves and the loss.
