M2 Georgetown University rolls over M2 North Carolina-Charlotte Univ, 7-2

The M2 Georgetown University Hoyas were firing on all cylinders against M2 North Carolina-Charlotte Univ, and when the final buzzer sounded Hoyas emerged with a 7-2 win.

M2 Georgetown University got the win thanks to a great game by John Kelly, who had one goal and two assists. Kelly scored on the power play 2:28 into the second period to make the score 3-0 M2 Georgetown University. Chad Heal picked up the assist.

M2 North Carolina-Charlotte Univ's eight penalties came back to haunt it, as M2 North Carolina-Charlotte Univ let up four goals while on the penalty kill.

The Hoyas put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M2 North Carolina-Charlotte Univ to score on any of its six power plays. M2 Georgetown University kept M2 North Carolina-Charlotte Univ's goalie busy throughout the game, and Daniel Ritter made 29 saves on 36 shots. The Hoyas bested their season scoring average. M2 Georgetown University averages 3.0 goals per game.

M2 Georgetown University additionally got points from Clifford, who also grabbed two goals and two assists to lead the team in points and Robert Churchill, who also finished with one goal and one assist. M2 Georgetown University also had goals scored by Matthew Tang, Peter Hagerty, and Dan Shea, who scored one goal each.
