Palermo's big game bests M3-Northwestern University in 6-2 M3-Aurora University-Blue win

Behind a great game by Vincent Palermo, who had one goal and two assists, M3-Aurora University-Blue defeated M3-Northwestern University, 6-2.

Palermo beat Joel Kirshner with a shot 9:38 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M3-Aurora University-Blue. Ben Winter provided the assist. Palermo dished an assist on Winter's goal that made the score 1-0 M3-Aurora University-Blue at 1:10 into the first period. He added another helper on Jordan Holloway's goal that made the score 4-0 M3-Aurora University-Blue at 8:08 into the second period.

M3-Aurora University-Blue forced M3-Northwestern University's goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, launching 48 shots and forcing 42 saves. Kirshner made 31 stops and Matthew Johnson made 11. M3-Aurora University-Blue excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

M3-Aurora University-Blue additionally got points from Holloway, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Winter, who also finished with one goal and one assist. M3-Aurora University-Blue also got a goal from Paul Mascitti as well. More assists for M3-Aurora University-Blue came via Taylor Zion, Tyler Lesage, and Ben Stachowiak, who each chipped in one.
