M1 Mercyhurst University downs M1 Duquesne University, 3-1

Greg Marsch racked up one point to lead the M1 Mercyhurst University Lakers to a 3-1 victory over the M1 Duquesne University Dukes.

M1 Mercyhurst University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Lakers' offense operated below their season average. M1 Mercyhurst University averages 5.1 goals per game. The Lakers' offense was clicking better than usual and put 42 shots on goal during the game, better than the 2.4 shots per game they average.

M1 Mercyhurst University also had goals scored by Darnell Clarke and Alexander Carlson, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for M1 Mercyhurst University were Michael Dee, Joseph Zinner, and Brian Hamm, who contributed one each.

M1 Mercyhurst University ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Dee was ejected from the game. Alexander Taylor made 39 saves for the Dukes on 41 shots. M1 Duquesne University incurred 24 minutes in penalty time with two minors. For the Dukes, Tristan Schimanski was ejected from the game.
