Mahanna leads M2 Merrimack College over M2 Bryant University, 7-4

Chris Mahanna had one goal and two assists to lead M2 Merrimack College to a 7-4 victory over M2 Bryant University.

Mahanna got on the board by slotting home a goal 2:00 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M2 Merrimack College. Tyler Aberle picked up the assist. Mahanna dished an assist on Anthony Antonetti's goal that made the score 2-0 M2 Merrimack College at 2:37 into the first period. He added another helper on Nathan Wawrowski's goal that made the score 3-2 M2 Merrimack College at 12:35 into the first period.

M2 Merrimack College put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M2 Bryant University to score on any of its three power plays. M2 Merrimack College bested its season scoring average. M2 Merrimack College averages 4.2 goals per game.

M2 Merrimack College also got points from Brendan Gardner, who also tallied one goal and two assists. M2 Merrimack College also had goals scored by Patrick Riley, Peter Lagonegro, and Anthony Forman, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for M2 Merrimack College were Steven Berry and Dan Resop, who contributed one each.

M2 Bryant University was helped by Trevor Kaplan, who tallied one goal. Kaplan scored 8:00 into the first period to make the score 2-1 M2 Merrimack College. Ryan Hurley provided the assist. Others who scored for M2 Bryant University included Domenic Giovannone, Sean Henderson, and Quinn Lacroix, who each put in one. In addition, M2 Bryant University received assists from Jonathan Satell, Nick Capalbo, and Thomas Bartkus, who each chipped in one.

M2 Merrimack College incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. M2 Bryant University incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
