Tully nets hat trick, leads M3-Tampa-University of to 5-1 win over M2 North Carolina-Charlotte Univ

A hat trick by Joe Tully was the highlight in Spartans' 5-1 win against M2 North Carolina-Charlotte Univ.

Tully's first goal came 4:38 into the second period. He then added goals at 17:55 into the second and at 18:17 into the second.

The M3-Tampa-University of Spartans were led by goalie Christian Hamlett, who finished with 33 saves while allowing one goal. Hamlett certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.75 entering the contest.

M3-Tampa-University of pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

The Spartans' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six M2 North Carolina-Charlotte Univ power plays. The 66 shots that M3-Tampa-University of put on net surpassed the Spartans' average of 6.8 shots per game this season.

M3-Tampa-University of also got points from Matt Antonacci, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Samuel Vidgren also scored for M3-Tampa-University of. More assists for M3-Tampa-University of came via Konstantin Zuev, who had two, Garrett Torrico, who had three, and Carter Haines, Corey Tudor, and Jacob Peterson, who each chipped in one.

M2 North Carolina-Charlotte Univ was held below its usual level of production. M2 North Carolina-Charlotte Univ averages 3.7 goals per game. M2 North Carolina-Charlotte Univ's offense rang up 34 shots on M3-Tampa-University of's net.
