M2 San Jose State University beats M2 Denver University of 4-3 after comeback scare

M2 Denver University of tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but M2 San Jose State University would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

M2 San Jose State University made the score 4-1 on a goal by Sam Shayesteh at 19:30 in the second period, and M2 Denver University of got as close as 4-3 when Samuel Yauch scored 11:53 into the third period.

M2 San Jose State University put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow M2 Denver University of to score on any of its four power plays. M2 San Jose State University found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 13 shots against M2 Denver University of's defense.

M2 San Jose State University was helped by John Germaine, who finished with one goal. Germaine scored 6:01 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M2 San Jose State University.
