Behind a great game by James Bobb, who had two goals and one assist, M2 William Paterson University defeated M2 Marist College, 5-2.

Bobb scored at 16:19 into the first period to make the score 2-1 M2 Marist College and again while 12:34 into the second to make the score 2-2.

M2 William Paterson University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. M2 Marist College was unable to stop M2 William Paterson University from sending pucks towards the net, and M2 William Paterson University eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

M2 William Paterson University also had goals scored by Todd Unger, James Karp, and Daniel Sabato, who each put in one. In addition, M2 William Paterson University received assists from Kyle Garlasco, Allen West, and Eric Simone, who contributed one each and Ryan Ertmann and Nicholas Brown, who each chipped in two.

M2 Marist College was helped by Brett Kaiser, who registered one goal. Kaiser scored 16:05 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M2 Marist College. Anthony Farrar assisted on the tally. M2 Marist College also got a goal from Justin Genga as well. Other players who recorded assists for M2 Marist College were Trevor Larkin and Andy Vovk, who contributed one each.

Jordan Hulahan made 22 saves for M2 William Paterson University on 24 shots. M2 William Paterson University totaled 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. M2 William Paterson University ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Mark Apidopoulos was ejected from the game. Justin Larkin recorded 35 saves for M2 Marist College. M2 Marist College incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
