Sanford's big game bests M3-Santa Rosa Junior College in 7-1 M2 Boise State University win

M2 Boise State University's Matt Sanford had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 7-1 win over M3-Santa Rosa Junior College.

Sanford beat Christopher Tomaszewski with a shot 14:26 into the second period on the power play to make the score 2-0 M2 Boise State University. M2 Boise State University earned a power play opportunity when Timotheus Buchter was put in the box for unsportsmanlike conduct. Taylor Crawford provided the assist. Sanford dished an assist on Justin Videen's goal that made the score 1-0 M2 Boise State University at 10:18 into the first period. He added another helper on Greg Chapman's goal that made the score 3-0 M2 Boise State University at 17:44 into the second period.

M2 Boise State University's penalty kill excelled, as M2 Boise State University gave up one goal despite allowing 16 power plays.
