MaGee's hat trick boosts Downingtown East over WC Henderson, 8-2

WC Henderson could not stop Downingtown East's Jack MaGee, who tallied a hat trick in an 8-2 win.

MaGee got on the scoresheet 11:32 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:23 into the second and at 13:47 into the second.

Downingtown East forced WC Henderson's goalies to work in net, launching 46 shots and forcing 38 saves. Brandon Holsten made 21 stops and Kieran Green made 17. Downingtown East put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow WC Henderson to score on any of its five power plays. Downingtown East surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Downingtown East averages 5.1 goals per game. Downingtown East got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Downingtown East also got points from Dustin Fisher, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Collin Harple, who also registered one goal and one assist. Justin Cohn also scored for Downingtown East. In addition, Downingtown East received assists from Matt Hill, who had two and Max McAllister, Eric Stankiewicz, Tav Macchia, and Luke Gilpin, who each chipped in one.

WC Henderson's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Downingtown East power plays.

WC Henderson was led by Jarrett Slear, who tallied one goal. Slear scored 14:39 into the third period to make the score 8-2 Downingtown East. Adam Morrison picked up the assist. WC Henderson also got a goal from Dylan Teeter as well. More assists for WC Henderson came via Dylan Knox, who had one.

Jeff Cummings rejected 19 shots on goal for Downingtown East. Downingtown East incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. WC Henderson incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
