Slear's hat trick boosts WC Henderson over Lower Merion, 10-0

Jarrett Slear netted a hat trick to lead WC Henderson over Lower Merion, 10-0.

Slear's first goal came 3:41 into the first period. He then added goals at 14:49 into the first and at 12:19 into the second.

WC Henderson led 5-0 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after.

WC Henderson forced Lower Merion's netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, getting 31 shots and forcing 21 saves. Justin Greenspan made nine stops and Jack Treiman made 12. WC Henderson surpassed its usual scoring output this season. WC Henderson averages 4.5 goals per game.

WC Henderson also got points from Ryan Tench, who also tallied one goal and two assists. WC Henderson also had goals scored by Dylan Teeter and Pat Muth, who each put in two and Keith Reynolds and Luke Zarelli, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for WC Henderson were Jack Scobell, who had two and Dylan Knox and Travis Czukoski, who contributed one each.

Lower Merion's offense was handcuffed by WC Henderson's defensive play, and Lower Merion managed only seven shots on goal during the game.

Brandon Holsten rejected seven shots on goal for WC Henderson. WC Henderson ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play. Lower Merion finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-0 with the man advantage.
