WC East pulls away in second, rolls over Great Valley, 8-0IceLine Rink 4 Mon, Jan 04, 2016 Great Valley allowed WC East to net three goals during the second period and fell, 8-0. Great Valley's power play was ineffective against WC East's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. WC East was led by Michael Eland, who had one goal. Eland scored 13:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 WC East. WC East put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Great Valley to score on any of its six power plays. WC East forced Great Valley goalie Daniel Dougherty to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots. WC East got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game. WC East also got points from Christian Juliana, who also registered one goal and one assist and Zachary Mulholland, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. WC East also had goals scored by Nicholas Castura, who had three and Richard Mullineaux and Eddie Russell, who scored one goal each. In addition, WC East received assists from Shane Stefani, Charlie Carsello, and Chase Miller, who each chipped in one and Kevin Cleary, Chris Rodier, and Dylan McLaughlin, who contributed two each. Great Valley did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Great Valley puts an average of 3.0 pucks into the net per game. Great Valley found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 11 shots against WC East's defense. Joey Galitski made 11 saves for WC East on 11 shots. WC East incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Dougherty rejected 43 shots on goal for Great Valley. Great Valley incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
