Huge game by Harple boosts Downingtown East over Unionville, 8-1IceLine Rink 4 Fri, Jan 29, 2016 Downingtown East's Collin Harple had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing three assists in his team's 8-1 win over Unionville. Harple scored at 5:38 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Downingtown East and again while 8:59 into the second to make the score 4-1 Downingtown East.Downingtown East's penalty kill excelled, as Downingtown East gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. Downingtown East found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Downingtown East has scored at the pace of 4.7 goals per game during the current campaign. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Downingtown East also got points from Matt Hill, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Stephan Sizov, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Justin Cohn, who also had two goals and two assists. Downingtown East also had goals scored by Luca Pisani and Alex Fox, who scored one goal each. In addition, Downingtown East received assists from Kyle Raciti, Tav Macchia, and Jack MaGee, who each chipped in one. Unionville's offense operated below its season average. Unionville averages 4.9 goals per game. Unionville did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 13 saves. Unionville was led by Charles (David) Hagerty, who scored the team's only goal. Hagerty scored on the power play 1:41 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Downingtown East. Unionville had gotten the advantage when Downingtown East's Max McAllister was sent off for slashing. Joey Impagliazzo picked up the assist. Jeff Cummings rejected 13 shots on goal for Downingtown East. Downingtown East incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors and had no power play opportunities. Michael Hansen made 16 saves for Unionville on 24 shots.
