Unionville's Hagerty deadly on offense in 6-2 win against Avon Grove

Unionville relied on the scoring touch of Charles (David) Hagerty, who netted two goals, to beat Avon Grove, 6-2.

Hagerty's tallies came at 14:36 into the first period to make the score 3-2 Unionville and on the power play 8:28 into the second to make the score 4-2 Unionville.

Unionville pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 38 penalty minutes.

Avon Grove was unable to stop Unionville from sending pucks towards the net, and Unionville eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Unionville additionally got points from Danny Hargadon, who also finished with one goal and three assists to lead the team in points and John Hargadon, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Unionville included Jack McKenna and Tyler Glennon, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Unionville were Parker Wine, who had three and Joey Impagliazzo and Cade Lenkaitis, who each chipped in one.

Avon Grove was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 44 penalty minutes.

Avon Grove was helped by George DiFrancesco, who racked up one goal. DiFrancesco scored on the power play 9:30 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Avon Grove. Avon Grove had gotten the advantage when Unionville's Hargadon was sent off for roughing. Kelvin DeFeo provided the assist. Avon Grove also got a goal from Ryan Hassiepen as well.

Unionville's Michael Hansen stopped 21 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Unionville registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Cameron Faller recorded 28 saves for Avon Grove. Avon Grove registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. For Avon Grove, Brendan Harman was ejected from the game.
