Daluisio's hat trick boosts Sun Valley over Methacton, 11-1

Nicholas Daluisio netted a hat trick to lead Sun Valley over Methacton, 11-1.

Daluisio's first goal came 1:27 into the first period. He then added goals at 7:31 into the second and at 14:55 into the second.

Sun Valley stifled Methacton's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Sun Valley forced Methacton goalie Shane Cassady to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. Sun Valley found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Sun Valley averages 3.7 goals per game. Sun Valley got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed four goals during the game.

Sun Valley additionally got points from Anthony Gonzalez, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Eric DeLellis, who also tallied three goals and two assists, Steve Blaskovich, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Nicholas Giannakarios, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Sun Valley included Nicholas Miller and Dylan Mokshefsky, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Sun Valley were Zachary Costa, who had two and Nicholas Malorgio, who had three.

Methacton excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Methacton did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 10 shots on net to force nine saves.

Methacton was led by Nicholas DiGrazio, who scored the team's only goal. DiGrazio scored 6:59 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Sun Valley. Eric Hilbert picked up the assist.

Matthew DiIorio made nine saves for Sun Valley on 10 shots. Sun Valley incurred 62 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Team's Dante Fantini and Kevin Cullen were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Cassady rejected 23 shots on goal for Methacton. Methacton incurred 62 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For Methacton, Hilbert, Noah Caplan, and John Rotelle were ejected from the contest.
