Strath Haven downs Sun Valley, 7-4

Trevor Lowe finished with two points to lead Strath Haven to a 7-4 victory over Sun Valley.

In the losing effort, Sun Valley was led by Nicholas Daluisio, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Daluisio scored the first of his two goals at 4:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Sun Valley. Daluisio's next tally made the score 3-1 Sun Valley with 17:05 left in the second period.

Strath Haven managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Strath Haven ended up below its season average of 10.0 penalty minutes per game. The defensemen of Strath Haven were also effective in Sun Valley's zone, and came away with three goals.

Strath Haven also got points from Tony Koskinen, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Sean Volz, who also registered one goal and one assist, Ryan Lowe, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, Connor Demo, who also had one goal and one assist, and Mike Irey, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Strath Haven also got a goal from Logan Simonian as well. In addition, Strath Haven received assists from Ryan Spanier, who had two and Gracein Hoyle and Grant Miller, who contributed one each.

Sun Valley did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 12 shots on net to force eight saves. Sun Valley's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Sun Valley also had goals scored by Anthony Gonzalez and Eric DeLellis, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Sun Valley were Zachary Costa, who had one.

Jason Teofilak rejected eight shots on goal for Strath Haven. Strath Haven registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Matthew DiIorio made 22 saves for Sun Valley on 29 shots. Sun Valley incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
