Strath Haven blows out Conestoga, 6-3

Strath Haven had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-3 win over Conestoga.

Strath Haven got the win thanks to a great game by Tony Koskinen, who had one goal and two assists. Koskinen scored 12:21 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Strath Haven. Ryan Spanier picked up the assist.

Strath Haven's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.

Strath Haven also got points from Ryan Lowe, who also registered one goal and one assist and Mike Irey, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Strath Haven included Blayden Reid, Sean Volz, and Connor Demo, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Strath Haven were Trevor Lowe and Logan Simonian, who each chipped in one.

Conestoga was led by Matt Cameron, who grabbed two goals and one assist. Cameron scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 11:53 into the second period to make the score 5-1 Strath Haven. Cameron's next tally on the power play made the score 5-2 Strath Haven with 6:42 left in the second period. Conestoga also got a goal from Tate Kienzle as well. In addition, Conestoga received assists from Will Delaney, who had one.

Jason Teofilak made 26 saves for Strath Haven on 29 shots. Strath Haven incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Conestoga's Malcolm Roeder stopped 18 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Conestoga incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
