Starzi leads Garnet Valley over Strath Haven, 7-3

Anthony Starzi had four goals and two assists to lead Garnet Valley to a 7-3 victory over Strath Haven.

Starzi's first goal came 48 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 8:07 into the second, at 8:17 into the second, and at 15:50 into the second.

Garnet Valley's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Strath Haven power plays. Garnet Valley kept Strath Haven's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jason Teofilak made 33 saves on 40 shots.

Garnet Valley also got points from Matthew Wood, who also had one goal and two assists and Thomas Schenk, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Joseph Shull also scored for Garnet Valley. In addition, Garnet Valley received assists from Gannon Stuart, who had one.

Strath Haven stifled Garnet Valley's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Strath Haven was held below its usual level of production. Strath Haven puts an average of 5.3 pucks into the net per game.

Strath Haven was led by Ryan Lowe, who registered two goals. Lowe scored the first of his two goals at 14:21 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Strath Haven. Ryan Spanier picked up the assist. Lowe's next tally made the score 3-2 Strath Haven with 15:00 left in the second period. Strath Haven also got a goal from Sean Volz as well. Other players who recorded assists for Strath Haven were Tony Koskinen and Mike Irey, who each chipped in one.

Gregory Schenk made 23 saves for Garnet Valley on 26 shots. Garnet Valley incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Strath Haven incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
