Springford beats Avon Grove 5-3 after comeback scareOaks Center Ice Fri, Nov 20, 2015 Avon Grove tried its best to erase a three-goal deficit, but Springford would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-3. Springford made the score 5-2 on a goal by Joey Temoyan at 9:32 in the third period, and Avon Grove got as close as 5-3 when Jake Beck scored 12:35 into the third period. Springford kept Avon Grove's goalie busy throughout the game, and Cameron Faller made 30 saves on 35 shots. Springford could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game. Springford was led by Ryne Moore, who racked up two goals and one assist. Moore scored the first of his two goals at 8:15 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Springford. Christian Graff picked up the assist. Moore's next tally made the score 2-0 Springford with 10:31 left in the first period. Kevin Crist assisted on the tally. Springford additionally got points from Benjamin Geremski, who also registered one goal and one assist. Ryan Schaeffer also scored for Springford.
