Riddle leads Springfield over Haverford High, 11-2

Behind a great game by Tyler Riddle, who had five goals and three assists, Springfield defeated Haverford High, 11-2.

Riddle notched his first tally 18 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 7:50 into the first, at 8:31 into the first, at 2:00 into the second, and at 15:45 into the third.

Springfield bested its season scoring average. Springfield has scored at the pace of 7.8 goals per game during the current campaign.

Springfield additionally got points from Andrew Astrino, who also finished with one goal and three assists and Kevin Brown, who also racked up one goal and three assists. Springfield also had goals scored by Aiden Smith and Joseph Cavaliere, who each put in two. In addition, Springfield received assists from Jim Schickling, who had two and Greg Vinci, James Spence, Nick Farese, and Dan Barrett, who contributed one each.

Haverford High did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Haverford High averages 5.7 goals per game.

Haverford High was led by Frankie McVeigh, who registered one goal. McVeigh scored 5:32 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Shane Moran assisted on the tally. Henry DeVoe also scored for Haverford High. More assists for Haverford High came via Mitchell Estes, who had one.

Calin Losacco rejected 17 shots on goal for Springfield. Springfield ended with no penalties and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Haverford High's Jordan Matsinger stopped 16 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Haverford High incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities.
