DMA rolls over Salesianum, 5-1

DMA had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over Salesianum.

Salesianum was stymied by DMA's netminder Julia Emerich, who stopped 27 shots during the victory. Emerich certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 6.59 entering the contest.

DMA got the win on the strength of a great game by Derek Golembrosky, who had one goal and two assists. Golembrosky scored on the power play 6:13 into the first period to make the score 1-0 DMA. DMA earned a power play opportunity when Ryan Bryson was put in the box for tripping. Colin Emerich picked up the assist.

DMA excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. DMA kept Salesianum's goalie busy throughout the game, and Bobby Cathell made 27 saves on 32 shots.

DMA also got points from Justin McGee, who also had one goal and one assist and Emerich, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Markus Cook also scored for DMA. More assists for DMA came via Cameron Starkey, who had one and River Spence, who had two.

Salesianum could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Salesianum puts an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game.

Salesianum also got a goal from Cameron Burke as well. In addition, Salesianum received assists from Rece Bergeman and Tyler Swift, who contributed one each.
