Salesianum beats Cardinal OHara 6-0 as Cathell gains shutoutPatriot Ice NHL Mon, Jan 18, 2016 Bobby Cathell made 35 saves to complete the shutout and led Salesianum to a 6-0 win against Cardinal OHara. Salesianum was paced by Rece Bergeman, who registered one goal. Bergeman scored on the power play 2:53 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Salesianum. Salesianum had taken the advantage when Cardinal OHara's Justin Boornazian got sent off for holding. Salesianum put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Cardinal OHara to score on any of its five power plays. Salesianum forced Cardinal OHara goalie Dan Dougherty to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. Salesianum outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, Salesianum averages 3.7 goals per contest. Others who scored for Salesianum included Wil Lundstrom, who had two and Harry Tillman, Fisher Sellers, and Tyler Swift, who each put in one. In addition, Salesianum received assists from Garrett Moser, who had two and Dylan Johnson, Devin LeBlanc, and Parker Strand, who contributed one each. Cardinal OHara could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Cardinal OHara puts an average of 5.2 pucks into the net per game. Cardinal OHara's offense rang up 35 shots on Salesianum's net. Salesianum incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Dougherty recorded 33 saves for Cardinal OHara. Cardinal OHara incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
