La Salle wins tough contest against Salesianum, 4-2Patriot Ice NHL Mon, Nov 02, 2015 The game between La Salle and Salesianum was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end La Salle emerged with a 4-2 win. La Salle gained the winning advantage on a goal by Jack McDonough 11:11 into the second period and hung on until final buzzer. McDonough had a great game for La Salle, netting two goals. The defensemen of La Salle were also effective in Salesianum's zone, and came away with two goals. Others who scored for La Salle included Shawn Ryan and Matthew Clark, who each put in one. In addition, La Salle received assists from Jeffrey Gratz, who had two. Salesianum was led by Jeremy Dewit, who racked up one goal and one assist. Dewit scored on the power play 8:04 into the third period to make the score 3-2 La Salle. A tripping penalty on Tyler Pohlig had put Salesianum on the power play. Liam Mackenzie picked up the assist. Salesianum also got a goal from Cameron Burke as well. La Salle's William Affel stopped 23 shots out of the 25 that he faced. La Salle incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Justin Sierocinski made 24 saves for Salesianum on 28 shots. Salesianum incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors. |
