Huge game by Giampapa boosts Ridley over Marple Newtown, 7-0

Michael Giampapa was all over the ice for Ridley, as he tallied one goal and three assists in Ridley's 7-0 win over Marple Newtown.

Giampapa scored on the power play 11:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ridley. Ridley had gotten the advantage when Marple Newtown's Anthony Patrone was sent off for cross checking. Steven Rubillo picked up the assist. Giampapa dished an assist on Nick Catona's goal that made the score 2-0 Ridley at 13:49 into the first period. He then added assists on Catona's goal at 7:22 into the second and on Jake Cross's goal at 2:27 into the third.

Ridley excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Ridley forced Marple Newtown goalie Drew Moore to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots.

Ridley also got points from Cross, who also registered one goal and one assist, Nate Dunning, who also tallied one goal and two assists, and Catona, who also had two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Eric Miller also scored for Ridley. More assists for Ridley came via Brett Dunning, who had one.

Ridley took out Wayne Shambo after he had made nine saves and installed Brendahn Brawley in goal, where he finished with 11 saves and the win. Ridley incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Moore recorded 36 saves for Marple Newtown. Marple Newtown incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
