Ridley completes comeback, beats Garnet Valley, 8-5

Undaunted by a four-goal deficit, Ridley battled back to claim an 8-5 victory over Garnet Valley.

Ridley never led in the game until netting the game winner. Ridley fell behind 4-0 after a power play goal by Garnet Valley's Kyle Washkalavitch at 13:53 in the first period. Ridley knotted things up at 5-5 on a goal by Nick Catona at 11:51 in the second period. Ridley netted the game winner at 14:24 in the second period on a goal by Catona.

Catona was all over the ice for Ridley, as he tallied two goals and five assists in the win.

Garnet Valley was unable to stop Ridley from sending pucks towards the net, and Ridley eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Ridley bested its season scoring average. This season, Ridley averages 5.5 goals per contest. Ridley gave up more goals than its normal season average. Ridley averages 1.7 goal allowed per game.

Ridley additionally got points from Michael Giampapa, who also had two goals and five assists and Jake Cross, who also registered three goals and one assist. Colin McCann also scored for Ridley. More assists for Ridley came via Steven Rubillo, who had one.

Garnet Valley also had goals scored by Matthew Wood and Thomas Schenk, who scored one goal each.
