Lombardi's big game bests Methacton in 9-3 Perkiomen Valley win

Perkiomen Valley's Kevin Lombardi had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing four assists in his team's 9-3 win over Methacton.

Lombardi scored at 3:37 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Perkiomen Valley and again while 7:50 into the second to make the score 5-3 Perkiomen Valley.

Perkiomen Valley's offense rang up 46 shots on Methacton's net. Perkiomen Valley surpassed its usual scoring output this season. Perkiomen Valley averages 5.0 goals per game.

Perkiomen Valley also got points from Charlie Murphy, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Perkiomen Valley also got a goal from Kyle Zahour as well. In addition, Perkiomen Valley received assists from Blake Murphy, who had four.

Perkiomen Valley was unable to stop Methacton from sending pucks towards the net, and Methacton eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Methacton found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Methacton has scored at the pace of 0.8 goals per game during the current campaign. Methacton got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Methacton was led by Nicholas DiGrazio, who registered two goals. DiGrazio scored the first of his two goals at 12:53 into the first period to make the score 1-1. DiGrazio's next tally made the score 2-1 Methacton with 4:16 left in the first period. Shane Canavan also scored for Methacton. Other players who recorded assists for Methacton were Eric Hilbert, who had one.

Hunter Thomas rejected 28 shots on goal for Perkiomen Valley. Perkiomen Valley incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Shane Cassady recorded 37 saves for Methacton. Methacton incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
