Penncrest blows out Strath Haven, 8-2Ice Works Rink 1 Wed, Nov 25, 2015 Penncrest had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-2 win over Strath Haven. Penncrest got the win behind a great game by Ryan Dumont, who had one goal and two assists. Dumont scored on the power play 10:23 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Penncrest. Penncrest had gotten the advantage when Strath Haven's Ryan Lowe was sent off for elbowing. Zachary Kelly provided the assist. Penncrest forced Strath Haven's goalies to work in net, ripping 31 shots and forcing 23 saves. Lukas Bernaus made 14 stops and Jason Teofilak made nine. Penncrest outdid its season average for goals scored. Penncrest averages 3.3 goals per game. Penncrest additionally got points from Samuel Clapinson, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Matthew Dougherty, who also grabbed two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Penncrest also had goals scored by Austin Mazzulo, who had two and Kieran Casey and Matthew Luccidi, who scored one goal each. More assists for Penncrest came via Jack Fletcher, Kyle Langan, Declan Casey, Jake Olds, and Ian McDougall, who contributed one each. Strath Haven was held below its usual level of production. Strath Haven puts an average of 5.2 pucks into the net per game. Strath Haven could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. Others who scored for Strath Haven included Sean Volz and Logan Simonian, who each put in one. In addition, Strath Haven received assists from Andrew Chapman, who had one. Mark Dumont rejected 17 shots on goal for Penncrest. Penncrest incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Strath Haven registered one goal on four power play opportunities.
