Kennett's Johnson deadly on offense in 5-0 win against Methacton

Behind a great game by Ryan Johnson, who had two goals, Kennett defeated Methacton, 5-0.

Johnson scored on the power play at 7:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kennett and again while 8:53 into the second to make the score 4-0 Kennett.

Kennett pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 22 penalty minutes.

Kennett's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Methacton power plays. Kennett's defensive play was more effective than usual against Methacton. Kennett averages 3.0 goals allowed per game.

Kennett additionally got points from Ryan Ganly, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Kennett also got a goal from Luke Borman as well. More assists for Kennett came via Pearce Rush, Jack Dreisbach, and Taylor Cullen, who each chipped in one.

Methacton did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 12 shots on net to force 12 saves.

Sean Edmonds made 12 saves for Kennett on 12 shots. Kennett registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Shane Cassady rejected 21 shots on goal for Methacton. Methacton incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
