Conestoga beats Marple Newtown 8-2 as Cameron gets hat trick

Matt Cameron netted a hat trick to lead Conestoga over Marple Newtown, 8-2.

Cameron notched his first tally 4:40 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:59 into the first and at 14:06 into the first.

Conestoga scored early and often, and held a 5-0 advantage after the first 20 minutes of play.

Conestoga forced Marple Newtown goalie Drew Moore to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. Conestoga's goal total was higher than its season average. Conestoga has scored at the pace of 5.1 goals per game during the current campaign. Conestoga could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Others who scored for Conestoga included Mac Hamblett, who had three and Will Delaney and Alex Lee, who each put in one. In addition, Conestoga received assists from Scott Macmillan, who had one and Turner Kaufmann and Will Schnorr, who each chipped in two.
