Huge game by Moran boosts Haverford High over Lower Merion, 7-1

Behind a great game by Shane Moran, who had four goals and two assists, Haverford High defeated Lower Merion, 7-1.

Moran notched his first tally 27 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 8:04 into the second, at 10:39 into the second, and at 2:17 into the third.

Haverford High managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Haverford High ended up below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. Haverford High forced Lower Merion goalie Luca Saleh to work between the pipes, taking 63 shots.

Haverford High also got points from Frankie McVeigh, who also racked up two goals and two assists. Haverford High also got a goal from Daniel Morris as well. In addition, Haverford High received assists from Kenny Kissinger, who had one, Dante Gattone, who had two, and Mitchell Estes, who had three.

Lower Merion stifled Haverford High's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Lower Merion was led by Luc Legaspi, who scored the team's only goal. Legaspi scored 11:59 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Everhett Grimes provided the assist.

Tim Osifchok rejected 17 shots on goal for Haverford High. Haverford High registered zero goals on three power play opportunities. Lower Merion's Saleh stopped 56 shots out of the 63 that he faced. Lower Merion incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
