Lowe nets hat trick, leads Strath Haven to 9-1 win over Lower Merion

Ryan Lowe lifted Strath Haven to a 9-1 victory with a hat trick against Lower Merion.

Lowe's first goal came 23 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 56 seconds into the first and at 13:21 into the third.

Strath Haven scored early and often, and held a 5-0 advantage after the first 20 minutes of play.

Strath Haven forced Lower Merion's netminders to work in net, totaling 39 shots and forcing 30 saves. Luca Saleh made 22 stops and Jack Treiman made eight. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Strath Haven also got points from Tony Koskinen, who also registered one goal and one assist, Mike Irey, who also finished with one goal and three assists, and Logan Simonian, who also grabbed one goal and three assists. Sean Volz also scored for Strath Haven. More assists for Strath Haven came via Connor Demo, who had one and Ryan Spanier, who had three.

Lower Merion did not rack up many penalties in the contest, tallying a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Strath Haven's Jason Teofilak stopped 23 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Strath Haven incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Lower Merion registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
