Lansdale Catholic survives Methacton comeback, wins 4-3

Methacton tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Lansdale Catholic held on for a 4-3 victory.

Lansdale Catholic took a 4-2 lead during the third period, only to have Methacton storm back on a Chris Turner goal 15:31 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Lansdale Catholic got the win behind a great game by Cole Crimlish, who had one goal and two assists. Crimlish scored on the power play 1:29 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Lansdale Catholic. Lansdale Catholic had gained a power play chance when Jason Swinney was whistled for high sticking.

Methacton was unable to stop Lansdale Catholic from sending pucks towards the net, and Lansdale Catholic eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Lansdale Catholic bested its season scoring average. Lansdale Catholic averages 1.8 goal per game.

Lansdale Catholic also got points from Kevin Longhitano, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Lansdale Catholic also had goals scored by Robert Schimony and Jared Trefz, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Lansdale Catholic were Kyle Macy, who had one.

Methacton's goal total was higher than its season average. Methacton has scored at the pace of 0.6 goals per game during the current campaign. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Methacton could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game.

Methacton was helped by Nicholas DiGrazio, who registered one goal and one assist. DiGrazio scored 2:59 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Methacton. Eric Hilbert provided the assist. In addition, Methacton received assists from Ryan Endlich, who had one.

Lansdale Catholic's Domonic Van stopped 16 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Lansdale Catholic incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Shane Cassady rejected 29 shots on goal for Methacton. Methacton registered one goal on four power play opportunities.
