Thomas' big game bests St Josephs Prep in 3-1 La Salle win

La Salle's Coty Thomas had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 3-1 win over St Josephs Prep.

Thomas found the back of the net 14 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 La Salle and again while 11:54 into the third to make the score 3-1 La Salle.

St Josephs Prep's power play was ineffective against La Salle's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

La Salle's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six St Josephs Prep power plays. La Salle could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

La Salle also got a goal from Michael Klein as well. In addition, La Salle received assists from Taylor Smith, Tyler Pohlig, David Mester, and Henry Kaechelin, who each chipped in one.

St Josephs Prep could not produce up to its normal offensive output. St Josephs Prep averages 4.5 goals per game.

St Josephs Prep was led by Kyle Cissone, who scored the team's only goal. Cissone scored 28 seconds into the second period to make the score 1-1. John Mctiernan assisted on the tally.

Harrison Feeney recorded 22 saves for La Salle. La Salle registered one goal on four power play opportunities. St Josephs Prep's Shawn Joniec stopped 26 shots out of the 29 that he faced. St Josephs Prep incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
