Kennett holds on for 6-5 win against Perkiomen ValleyPatriot Ice OLYMPIC Mon, Nov 23, 2015 Kennett survived a determined comeback attempt by Perkiomen Valley on the way to a 6-5 win. Kennett took a 6-4 lead during the third period, only to have Perkiomen Valley storm back on a Kevin Lombardi goal 14:25 into the third period to pull to one goal down. Kennett stifled Perkiomen Valley's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Kennett's offense rang up 51 shots on Perkiomen Valley's net. Kennett surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, Kennett averages 3.3 goals per contest. Kennett could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game. Kennett was helped by Luke Borman, who grabbed three goals. Kennett additionally got points from Ryan Ganly, who also registered two goals and one assist and Ryan Johnson, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. In addition, Kennett received assists from Kayra Orankoy, Forest Gheen-Regouski, Jack Dreisbach, and Taylor Cullen, who each chipped in one. Kennett was unable to stop Perkiomen Valley from sending pucks towards the net, and Perkiomen Valley eventually piled up 58 shots on goal. Perkiomen Valley's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Perkiomen Valley finished with 14 penalty minutes. Perkiomen Valley also got points from Dylan Greirson, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Perkiomen Valley were Charlie Murphy, who had three and Adam Lewis and Kyle Zahour, who contributed two each. Kennett's Sean Edmonds stopped 53 shots out of the 58 that he faced. Kennett registered one goal on eight power play opportunities. Hunter Thomas rejected 45 shots on goal for Perkiomen Valley. Perkiomen Valley registered zero goals on six power play opportunities.
