DiCesare nets hat trick, leads Boyertown to 11-5 win over Interboro

Dominic DiCesare netted a hat trick to lead Boyertown over Interboro, 11-5.

DiCesare notched his first tally 3:37 into the first period. He then added goals at 9:20 into the first and at 9:22 into the second.

Interboro trailed by one after the first period, but Boyertown went into the second intermission with a 9-5 lead and never looked back.

Boyertown excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Boyertown outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, Boyertown averages 6.9 goals per contest. Boyertown's defense let in more goals than it usually has this year. Boyertown gives up 2.4 goals per game. Boyertown's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in five goals. Boyertown could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 44 minutes in penalties during the game.

Boyertown also got points from Daniel Moyer, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Bransen Mackey, who also had one goal and three assists, Hunter Canestra, who also registered one goal and three assists, and Tyler Crouthamel, who also had one goal and one assist. Boyertown also got a goal from Sean McGinley as well. In addition, Boyertown received assists from Leo Richards, who had one, Casey Sottenella, who had three, and Jake Harmon, who had four.

Interboro's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Interboro finished with 16 penalty minutes.

Interboro was led by Stephen Schwartz, who finished with three goals and one assist. Others who scored for Interboro included Kyle Oreskovich and Jake Reifer, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Interboro were Joe Bucci and Kenny Keene, who each chipped in one.

Boyertown registered two goals on six power play opportunities. For Boyertown, Sottenella, Mackey, and Canestra were ejected from the contest.
