Haverford High falls to Conestoga after surprising comeback

Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, Conestoga battled back to claim a 5-4 victory over Haverford High.

Conestoga never led in the game until netting the game winner. Conestoga trailed 4-2 after a goal by Haverford High's Joe Falcone at 2:52 in the third period. Conestoga knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Tommy Sopko at 9:24 in the third period. Conestoga scored the game winner at 9:39 in the third period on a goal by Sopko.

Nick Falcone was all over the ice for Conestoga, as he tallied two goals in the win.

Conestoga additionally got points from Sopko, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Turner Kaufmann also scored for Conestoga. More assists for Conestoga came via Will Delaney, who had three and Stuart Davis, John Paul Kalilec, Alex Lee, and Scott Macmillan, who contributed one each.

Haverford High was held below its usual level of production. Haverford High puts an average of 6.3 pucks into the net per game. Conestoga was unable to stop Haverford High from sending pucks towards the net, and Haverford High eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

Haverford High also got points from Frankie McVeigh, who also had one goal and one assist and Shane Moran, who also racked up one goal and one assist.
