Harriton stifles Radnor's comeback, gains 6-4 victory

Harriton came close to giving away a three-goal lead to Radnor, but did just enough to escape with a 6-4 victory.

Harriton led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Harriton's Sam Kirby scored at 43 seconds in the second period to put Harriton up 4-1.

Harriton got the win thanks to a great game by Skyler Thomas, who had one goal and three assists. Thomas scored 11:21 into the third period to make the score 5-3 Harriton. Will DeVerter assisted on the tally.

Harriton's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.

Harriton additionally got points from Kirby, who also racked up two goals and one assist and DeVerter, who also had two goals and one assist. Harriton also got a goal from Jake Gross as well. Other players who recorded assists for Harriton were Nick Wert, who had two.

Radnor's offense rang up 36 shots on Harriton's net. Radnor did not rack up many penalties in the contest, tallying just one minor for 12 minutes in penalty time. The defensemen of Radnor were also effective in Harriton's zone, and came away with three goals.

Radnor was helped by Anthony Laudicina, who tallied two goals. Laudicina scored the first of his two goals at 13:29 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Harriton. Clayton Proctor picked up the assist. Laudicina's next tally made the score 5-4 Harriton with 6:51 left in the third period. Luke Winnick provided the assist. Radnor also got points from Proctor, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Chris Winnick also scored for Radnor. More assists for Radnor came via Donald Sucher, who had one.

Alex Krauss recorded 32 saves for Harriton. Harriton incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Martin Connor made 21 saves for Radnor on 27 shots. Radnor registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Radnor ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Proctor was ejected from the game.
