Garnet Valley's comeback falls short, Ridley wins 3-2Aston Ice Works Fri, Oct 30, 2015 Ridley, which led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Garnet Valley and clinched a 3-2 victory. Ridley led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Ridley's Colin McCann scored at 4:45 in the second period to put Ridley up 3-0. McCann had a great game for Ridley, netting two goals. Ridley stifled Garnet Valley's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Brett Dunning also scored for Ridley. Other players who recorded assists for Ridley were Nate Dunning, who had two and Michael Giampapa and Jake Cross, who each chipped in one. Garnet Valley's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Ridley power plays. Garnet Valley was helped by Anthony Starzi, who finished with one goal. Starzi scored 15:13 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Ridley. Dominic Starzi assisted on the tally. Garnet Valley also got a goal from Thomas Schenk as well. More assists for Garnet Valley came via Matthew Wood, Ethan Liu, and Gannon Stuart, who contributed one each. Brendahn Brawley recorded 17 saves for Ridley. Ridley incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Gregory Schenk made 14 saves for Garnet Valley on 17 shots. Garnet Valley incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
