Downingtown East blows out Boyertown, 7-1

Downingtown East had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-1 win over Boyertown.

Downingtown East was led by Justin Cohn, who had one goal and one assist. Cohn scored 15:17 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Downingtown East.

Downingtown East's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Boyertown power plays. Downingtown East kept Boyertown's goalie busy throughout the game, and Troy Viola made 31 saves on 38 shots.

Downingtown East additionally got points from Matt Hill, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Downingtown East included Harrison Layne, who had two and Thomas Rocco, Patrick Bobko, and Jack MaGee, who scored one goal each. In addition, Downingtown East received assists from Max McAllister, who had two, Collin Harple, who had three, and Luca Pisani and Tav Macchia, who each chipped in one.
