Early goals doom Bishop Shanahan, falls to DMA, 10-0

A four-goal first period deficit cost Bishop Shanahan, which could not recover and fell to DMA, 10-0.

Derek Golembrosky had two goals and five assists to lead DMA. Golembrosky scored the first of his two goals at 27 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 DMA. Colin Emerich assisted on the tally. Golembrosky's next tally made the score 7-0 DMA with 7:40 left in the second period. Emerich picked up the assist.

DMA managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. DMA finished below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game. Bishop Shanahan was unable to stop DMA from sending pucks towards the net, and DMA eventually piled up 50 shots on goal. DMA found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. DMA has scored at the pace of 6.0 goals per game during the current campaign.

DMA additionally got points from Markus Cook, who also grabbed three goals and three assists, Emerich, who also had two goals and five assists to lead the team in points, and Chris Lavelle, who also registered one goal and one assist. DMA also got a goal from River Spence as well. More assists for DMA came via Justin McGee, Cameron Starkey, Alex Maglio, and Chris Robinson, who contributed one each.

Bishop Shanahan managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Bishop Shanahan ended up below its season average of 11.0 penalty minutes per game. Bishop Shanahan was held below its usual level of production. Bishop Shanahan puts an average of 4.6 pucks into the net per game. Bishop Shanahan's offense was handcuffed by DMA's defensive play, and Bishop Shanahan managed only 12 shots on goal during the game.

DMA took out Anthony Gurerieri after he had made seven saves and installed Julia Emerich in goal, where he finished with five saves and the win. DMA registered one goal on one power play opportunities. Bishop Shanahan's Alex DeGarmo stopped 40 shots out of the 50 that he faced.
