Temoyan's goals lift Springford to 6-2 victory over Conestoga

Joey Temoyan had two goals to lead Springford to a 6-2 victory over Conestoga.

Temoyan scored at 7:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Springford and again while 8:34 into the first to make the score 2-0 Springford.

Springford forced Conestoga goalie Luke Turner to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Springford also got points from Benjamin Geremski, who also registered one goal and one assist and Shayne Egleston, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Others who scored for Springford included Kevin Crist and Justin Pasquine, who scored one goal each. More assists for Springford came via Ryne Moore and Jeffrey DiGuiseppe, who contributed one each.

Conestoga's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Springford power plays. Conestoga's offense operated below its season average. Conestoga averages 4.8 goals per game.

Conestoga was helped by Matt Cameron, who finished with two goals. Cameron scored the first of his two goals at 13:50 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Springford. Mac Hamblett assisted on the tally. Cameron's next tally made the score 6-2 Springford with 5:59 left in the second period. Hamblett picked up the assist. In addition, Conestoga received assists from Tate Kienzle, who had one.

Matthew Magee made 20 saves for Springford on 22 shots. Springford incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Turner rejected 29 shots on goal for Conestoga. Conestoga incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
