Huge game by Cirelli boosts Archbishop Ryan over Bishop Shanahan, 9-0

Archbishop Ryan's Mark Cirelli had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 9-0 win over Bishop Shanahan.

Cirelli scored 4:44 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Archbishop Ryan. Blaze Ferris assisted on the tally. Cirelli dished an assist on Tyler Giwerowski's goal that made the score 2-0 Archbishop Ryan at 7:16 into the second period. He added another helper on Scott Nowosielski's goal that made the score 6-0 Archbishop Ryan at 7:49 into the third period.

Archbishop Ryan forced Bishop Shanahan's goaltenders to work in net, taking 53 shots and forcing 44 saves. Alex DeGarmo made 37 stops and Jerry McGeoy made seven. Archbishop Ryan excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Archbishop Ryan's defensive play was more effective than usual against Bishop Shanahan.
