Harman's big game bests Interboro in 12-1 Avon Grove winPatriot Ice OLYMPIC Mon, Dec 14, 2015 Brendan Harman had four goals and two assists to lead Avon Grove to a 12-1 victory over Interboro. Harman got on the scoresheet 1:33 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:52 into the first, at 11:47 into the second, and at 14:54 into the second.Avon Grove managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Avon Grove ended up below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. Avon Grove forced Interboro goalie Matt Whitham to work between the pipes, taking 54 shots. Avon Grove bested its season scoring average. This season, Avon Grove averages 4.3 goals per contest. The defensemen of Avon Grove were also effective in Interboro's zone, and came away with three goals. Interboro could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Interboro averages 3.3 goals per game. Interboro found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 12 shots against Avon Grove's defense. Cameron Faller made 11 saves for Avon Grove on 12 shots. Avon Grove registered one goal on one power play opportunities. Interboro's Whitham stopped 42 shots out of the 54 that he faced. Interboro incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
