Roman Catholic beats Archbishop Carroll 7-5 after comeback scareOaks Center Ice Fri, Feb 05, 2016 Archbishop Carroll tried to dig itself out of a four-goal hole, but Roman Catholic held on for a 7-5 victory. A goal by Scott Megraw put Roman Catholic up 7-3 in the third period, but Archbishop Carroll pulled to within two on Nicholas Antonini's tally 14:42 into the third period. John Verrecchio was all over the ice for Roman Catholic, as he tallied one goal and four assists in the win. Verrecchio scored 7:07 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Roman Catholic. Megraw picked up the assist. Roman Catholic bested its season scoring average. This season, Roman Catholic averages 4.6 goals per contest. Roman Catholic could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 32 minutes in penalties during the game.
