M2 Merrimack College holds on for 3-1 win against M2 Keene State College

M2 Merrimack College survived a determined comeback attempt by M2 Keene State College on the way to a 3-1 win.

A goal by Jt Lynch put M2 Merrimack College up 3-0 in the third period, but M2 Keene State College pulled to within two on Andrew Pierce's tally 18:28 into the third period.

M2 Merrimack College was led by goalie Derek DeCastro, who finished with 34 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of DeCastro will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 3.33.

M2 Merrimack College stifled M2 Keene State College's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

M2 Merrimack College was helped by Jeff DeLoria, who racked up one goal. DeLoria scored 8:12 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M2 Merrimack College. Chris Price picked up the assist. Brendan Gardner also scored for M2 Merrimack College.
