M2 Boston University holds on for 4-3 win against M2 Keene State College

M2 Keene State College tried to dig itself out of a four-goal hole, but M2 Boston University held on for a 4-3 victory.

A goal by Scott Woods put M2 Boston University up 4-0 in the second period, but M2 Keene State College pulled to within one on Tyler Duquette's tally 17:15 into the third period.

M2 Boston University pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

M2 Boston University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. M2 Boston University forced M2 Keene State College goalie Dylan Strogen to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

M2 Boston University was helped by Taylor Parkinson, who finished with one goal. Parkinson scored on the power play 18:20 into the first period to make the score 2-0 M2 Boston University. M2 Boston University had gained a power play chance when Kurt Mitchell was whistled for roughing. Woods assisted on the tally. M2 Boston University also got points from Zachary Fornaciari, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Woods, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. M2 Boston University also got a goal from Michael Matos as well. Other players who recorded assists for M2 Boston University were Matthew Fineberg, who had two and Lucas Esposito, Alex Balbo, and Michael Minarczyk, who each chipped in one.

M2 Keene State College could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

M2 Keene State College was helped by Tyler Clark, who registered one goal. Clark scored 8:48 into the third period to make the score 4-2 M2 Boston University. Andrew Pierce picked up the assist. Matt Girard also scored for M2 Keene State College. In addition, M2 Keene State College received assists from Tucker Johnson, who had two and Brian Mello and Cooper Hines, who contributed one each.

Joseph Kelly rejected 24 shots on goal for M2 Boston University. M2 Boston University registered two goals on seven power play opportunities. M2 Keene State College's Strogen stopped 37 shots out of the 41 that he faced.
