Lanzilli's hat trick boosts Massachusetts University of over Northeastern University, 9-0

Brittani Lanzilli lifted the Massachusetts University of Minutemen to a 9-0 victory with a hat trick against the Northeastern University Huskies.

Lanzilli's first goal came 3:17 into the first period. He then added goals at 5:10 into the first and at 16:43 into the third.

Massachusetts University of excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Minutemen's defensive effort looked to be improved. Massachusetts University of gives up 2.7 goals on average per game. Northeastern University was unable to stop the Minutemen from sending pucks towards the net, and Massachusetts University of eventually piled up 69 shots on goal. The Minutemen outdid their season average for goals scored. Massachusetts University of has scored at the pace of 5.4 goals per game during the current campaign. The Minutemen's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Massachusetts University of also got points from Courtney Sullivan, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Michaela Tosone, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Ally Perdios, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Massachusetts University of also had goals scored by Victoria Bortolussi and Julia Valianti, who each put in one.
