Rhode Island University of survives W2 Connecticut University of comeback, wins 5-3

W2 Connecticut University of tried its best to erase a four-goal deficit, but the Rhode Island University of Rams would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-3.

A goal by Monica Darby put Rhode Island University of up 5-1 in the third period, but W2 Connecticut University of pulled to within two on Juliana Bailly-simao's tally 13:16 into the third period.

The Rams managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Rhode Island University of wound up below its season average of 5.0 penalty minutes per game. W2 Connecticut University of was unable to stop the Rams from sending pucks towards the net, and Rhode Island University of eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.
